Project's description
We are seeking an IT Operations Specialist to join IT Client Infrastructure team. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining and operating endpoint devices (laptops, desktops, POS devices, store servers, handheld terminals, mobile devices, tablets, and ESL tags)Â in a Scandinavian furniture company's stores and head offices, ensuring they are functional and secure. This role involves providing support, participating in projects, and ensuring the IT landscape aligns with company values and goals.
Areas of responsibility - task-related:
- Resolve incidents, problems, and changes related to the client's IT landscape.
- React to monitoring and alerts.
- Participate, create, and drive projects related to end-point devices in IT.
- Maintain and update endpoint devices in the client's store environment.
- Maintain, automate, and update endpoint devices in the client's administrative environment.
- Participate in, create, and drive continuous business improvement of the store and administrative environment.
- Provide support to Helpdesk and other teams in IT.
Job location: Gdańsk Metropolitan Area and nearby cities (3 days of onboarding onsite and then hybrid model - up to 2 days of remote work)
Work time: full-time working hours (40h per week)
Start: as soon as possible
Expectations:
- Ability to perform scripting in PowerShell/Bash/other.
- Experience in working with SCCM/MECM (System Center Configuration Manager/Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager), Intune, or both.
- Familiarity with cloud services, f.e. Azure, Entra ID, Office 365.
- Experience in handling monitoring - preferably using Nagios, but others would also be valuable, like Zabbix or CheckMK.
- Ability to perform advanced, deep-level troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of virtualization and containers software, f.e. VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, Amazon ECS/EKS.
- Documented, commercial experience of a minimum 4 years in position of IT Operations Specialist, DevOps, System Administrator or similar.
- Excellent command of English (B2 and higher) - both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel to the main office in Denmark a couple of days per year.
- The candidate's location is Gdańsk Metropolitan Area or a nearby city (must have!).
Nice to have:
- practical ability to work in Windows, Linux, Mac, and other environments,
- experience in setting up and maintaining POS devices.
