Senior Intune Engineer / Intune & Autopilot Lead
At Knowit, we combine a passion for technology with a commitment to shaping the future. As part of our team, you’ll work on innovative projects that not only define the technological landscape but also contribute to sustainable growth. Your professional and personal development is our priority, which is why we offer a wide range of career advancement opportunities and international knowledge exchange. Our work environment stands out for its flexibility and focus on maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The Role
For our Swedish client in the smart home security sector, we are looking for a Senior Intune Engineer / Intune & Autopilot Lead, who will take ownership of our device management service (PCs, mobile devices) and act as Service Owner. You will drive the rollout of new devices, ensure smooth operations, manage change and user adoption, and lead the technology journey for device management. You will join a dynamic team faced with a large-scale change initiative: deploying and reinstalling Windows devices over ~1.5 years, many existing legacy devices, unclear settings and configurations, many issues to resolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design, implementation and ongoing operation of device management using Microsoft Intune for Windows and iOS devices.
- Lead and run device roll-outs (Windows + iOS), device re-installations, ensure the Autopilot process works end-to-end.
- Bring recent hands-on experience with Autopilot (Windows) and Intune device management (especially iOS, mobile device management).
- In the iOS domain it is advantageous if you know JAMPF (or similar Apple/MDM tools) – our business uses this in one part.
- Conduct due-diligence of current device estate: assessment of settings, configurations, gaps, issues.
- Lead change management: train end users, create documentation, communicate with business stakeholders, produce user guides and support materials.
- Act as Service Owner: accountable for service performance, escalation management, vendor/third-party coordination, continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other IT teams (infrastructure, security, endpoint, help-desk) and with business units globally.
Required Experience & Skills
- Several years (ideally 5+ years) of recent, relevant experience in device management (Intune, Autopilot) – not just projects from many years ago.
- Proven experience working with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot in a production environment, large scale (many devices).
- Strong knowledge of managing iOS devices (MDM, configuration, enrollment) and preferably knowledge of JAMPF (or equivalent Apple device management tool).
- Solid background in Windows device lifecycle: roll-out, provisioning, imaging or Autopilot, migrations, reinstallation, patching.
- Experience in a complex environment where device estate was not clean, many issues, unknown settings, you had to lead the journey and fix things.
- Excellent documentation skills: ability to create user-friendly guides, run training, communicate with non-technical users.
- Change management mindset: you are comfortable working with business users, driving adoption, handling support and escalation, measuring success.
- Service ownership mindset: you take accountability end-to-end; you are comfortable with governance, operational metrics, SLAs.
- Very Good English (written & spoken).
We offer:
A B2B contract.
The freedom to decide how to spend your personal development budget (technical training, language courses, soft skills workshops, certification support, conferences).
A knowledge-sharing organizational culture.
A variety of initiatives to help you unwind and take a break from everyday work :)
