Project Description:
We are looking for an experienced Application Developer to join the DPP Core Team and help harden, scale, and operationalize the data platform. The role involves ingesting priority data sources, ensuring high data quality, exposing datasets via APIs to external partners, and implementing security, monitoring, and backups across two Azure subscriptions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion processes and data pipelines for the Digital Product Passport.
Integrate new internal and external data sources, including REST APIs.
Improve and continuously evaluate data quality within the DPP domain.
Monitor data pipelines and ensure operational stability.
Implement and maintain security and backup solutions across two Azure subscriptions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams within the DPP program.
Qualifications:
Experience integrating with external REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with Databricks and building big data pipelines.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance.
Solid understanding of Git and version control best practices.
Strong proficiency in Python, with experience across multiple projects.
Experience with Azure services.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform or Databricks Asset Bundles.
Soft Skills & Preferred Competencies:
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple teams and workstreams.
Agile mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving requirements.
Customer- and consumer-focused approach with emphasis on data quality and availability.
Good documentation practices, including maintaining runbooks, architecture notes, and “how-to” guides.
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken (B2/C1).
The candidate must be a citizen of the European Union.
